And now the final instalment of my set of posts containing selections from my University coursework. You can also view the first, second and third.

The zip file contains some second year work, including:

  • Advanced Media Systems – 3 reports covering my AMS work on virtual augmented environments. Also see this post.
  • Final Project – the proposal and product brochure for my masters project, Methods For Enhancing Visitor Experience In Connected Museums. The final report is not included, as I don’t want to make it freely available (a lot of work went in to it!) but I may be willing to send a copy if you’re really interested. Just drop me an email.

This is the third in my series of posts containing selections from my University coursework. You can also view the first, second and fourth.

The zip file contains some second year work, including:

  • Desktop Search – a research report I did into desktop search technology. I was quite pleased with this, though it already is a little dated… the joys of technology!
  • Production Report – for a video post-production coursework assignment I did based on my work for the Further Maths Network.
  • Analogue ECAD Datasheet – the datasheet for an operational amplifier (OpAmp) that I designed with Richard Ash for my Analogue ECAD module.

I thought I’d share some of my University coursework with you. The main reason for this is that I found it quite useful when I was at uni that some other students and ex-students had done the same. In the move from rowandepom.co.uk to rowan.depomerai.com, many of the files never made it. So this is the first in a series of 4 posts I’ll make, each of which will have much of my coursework from one of my years at uni. The total amount of stuff I’ll have posted by the end will be more than there ever was before. So enjoy…

First up is, predictably, my first year. Included in the enclosed .zip file are:

  • Lab Report 1 – my Christmas lab report was a progress report on the development of the (fictional) Double Decker DJ Mixer
  • Lab Report 2 – my Easter report was the final report for the Double Decker DJ Mixer

I’ve begun my fourth year project for real now, which means I’m supposed to be spending 40 hours a week working on it, but with no scheduled sessions, no requirement to be anywhere in particular, and no-one telling me what to do. And boy, that’s a little bit scary, I can tell you. Read the rest of this entry »
